I am not trolling. I promise.

Holy crap. He’d have to change his hair or wear a wig, but physically/facially I agree. I wouldn’t say he’s my IDEAL Lupin, but better than David Thewlis. I don’t think David did a bad job…I liked his Lupin, so don’t get me wrong…I’m not bashing him. He just so didn’t fit what I had in my head.

Related, but not directly pertaining to Lupin’s casting in particular…I think overall the Harry Potter movies had great casting, and a lot of the characters were really close. I still think the most glaring is Snape. I like Alan Rickman, but honestly, I do not like his Snape. Fred and George did not fit with the image in my head at all. Nor did Bill. Draco and McGonagall were PERFECT, though…I don’t think they could have cast those better.

I don’t remember how I thought Lupin would look, so I can’t comment on this. I know that for whatever reason, I imagined Sirius much more attractive, but I understand how that would not have fit his history so I have no complaints about that either (especially not now, when I stopped caring about the HP movies in general awhile ago). Didn’t the books describe Fred and George as short and stocky? I forget. But it’s probably not easy to find red-haired, stocky twins that also happen to be able to act. And have british accents.
